~The Original Medicine (OM) operates under the tenets of the First Flame as a spiritual organization committed to preserving and reawakening Sacred Law for all beings.
Sacred laws are a set of Universal principles, often called Akashic records, that uphold unity consciousness, reciprocity, indigeneity, innate abundance, right relationship with and between all living beings, sovereignty and Life inclusivity. Distilled down these Universal laws rise out of feminine consciousness. When feminine consciousness is at the root of our lives, all lives are in balance.
The OM is the educational body of the First Flame dedicated to bringing people back in touch with the sacred wisdom of the Life, Creator, God. There are many pathways home to undying flame that governs all life. We are committed to helping all who come through our doors reconnect to their innate belonging, their personal soul lineage, cosmology and prayer.
The many sacred technologies such as Earth medicines, initiatory rites of passage, ritual, and holistic healing modalities are honored here as they help pave that pathway to the inner healer. This is the high seat of awakening to individual cosmology. Every life story holds a powerful medicine that lay patiently waiting for the time when, often by way of life’s storms, the sacred is summoned as an ally on the journey again.
There is a Holy force within all of life that can never die. There is an Original Medicine that rises from the First Flame of all Life. Around that flame is where The Ancestors gather to tend and tell the first Love story that lives within all living beings as it is woven into the womb, and therefore all bodies. Some call this force God, Mother Goddess, Holy Spirit, Mitakuye Oyasin, Shiva.
We say She has many faces and many names and is awaiting yours.

OM was founded by Shira Starfire and tended by all the many hands that make it all possible. It operates through the collective wisdom of appointed council members and all individuals who partake in the services offered under OM and The First Flame. We welcome feedback at any time. Hello friend and thank you for being here.
My life has been about a return to God and walking the sacred narrow path. I do my best each day to listen to the wisdom within and follow its guidance. I am ordained to help others do the same.
For over a decade I have worked in the healing arts stewarding others back to feminine consciousness through womb healing, the right use of entheogens and Earth medicines, mentoring, group ceremony, prayer, writing and a commitment to walking the path daily. My healing is everyone’s healing and that cliche has been the most challenging, and most Life giving inheritance. The door that has been most daunting is the one that has led me to step into the inevitable path of my soul.
I have walked through many initiations and the majority of my experience has come from the great classroom of Life. Prayer woke up in me one day at the end of 2011 when I almost died from addiction. I was saved by a force beyond personal will and experienced a miracle. From that day on I have been undergoing the arduous chiseling away of everything that stands between me and the force that resurrected me from darkness only to praise the darkness as I sit here now.
What I have been called forth to do is share the song that was living under the rubble of oppression and serve the Holy eminence that animates all the beauty we can and cannot see. Music has found me and I am devoted to the medicine of sound and the beautiful harp that chose me some years ago.
Prayer is real. God is real. Love is real. And there are, as the Tao says, 10,000 unreal ways to prove it.
Stewarding this life back to alignment with Creation, doing my best to be a walking prayer and embodied spiritual organization is a humbling honor.
I don’t know anything you don’t know. And that is the truth.
I bow to my many teachers in flesh and in spirit who have made me so. I know with every bit of my soul that I was handed a lot to love free because that is the medicine I hold. If that lives in me, that lives in all beings.
And what I have said from the beginning to the cynic that lives in all of us ~
Why not try on a little magic before you die, because from what I have seen that other stuff just ain’t workin out too well.
